SMS Messaging: Terms And Conditions
As part of establishing yourself as a client of Brookside Anxiety, you will fill out a consent form in your personal portal where you have the option to opt in or opt out to be contacted via text. You may also choose to opt in or opt out of text messages and/or phone calls when requesting an initial appointment through our online form submission. If you consent, you may receive occasional text and/or phone calls from Brookside Anxiety regarding scheduling appointments, important practice updates, and relevant therapy information.
Opt-In Option:
There are three ways to Opt-In for consent to receive SMS messages from Brookside Anxiety. Verbal consent does NOT consent to receiving SMS messages. All consent requests must be submitted in one of three ways:
1. Selecting the Opt-In box on the Request Appointment Form located on the website.
2. By emailing intern@brooksideanxiety.com and asking to have Opt-In Consent for receiving SMS messages. A form will be sent to you in your personal portal to complete and sign.
3. TEXT 816-678-0661. By contacting Brookside Anxiety via text or by providing your phone number, you consent to receive text message responses in relation to scheduling appointments, important practice updates, and relevant therapy information.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Opt-Out Option:
You can opt out at any time by replying 'STOP' to a text message, emailing intern@brooksideanxiety.com, calling 816-678-0661, or choosing to opt-out in your personal portal. Reply ‘HELP’ for Support. Once you opt out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us, except for confirmation of your opt-out request.
Information We Collect:
We collect personal information that you provide to us when you engage in SMS messaging with us.
This may include:
Your phone number
Messages exchanged during the conversation.
We use the information collected to:
Respond to your inquiries and requests.
Communicate with you about services provided by us, appointment reminders, appointment cancellations, question or concerns about your appointment with us.

We implement security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Frequency of Messages
We strive to keep SMS communications to a reasonable frequency and relevance. You may expect to receive SMS messages from us only regarding scheduling appointments, important practice updates, and relevant therapy information. We do not engage in unsolicited marketing messages via SMS without your explicit consent.
