Nick Lazeckhko
I have 5 years of experience working with anxiety, mood, and behavior difficulties as a school psychologist. I have specialized training in OCD and related disorders, and I am working towards independent licensure while supervised by Dr. Heather Smith.
For families, I offer hands-on guidance navigating the school system. Whether that means understanding how to access accommodations, connecting with supports, or bridging the gap between home and school, I'm here to help families advocate effectively
This work is personal to me. I grew up with OCD myself, and I know firsthand what it's like to live with it — the exhausting cycles, the self-doubt, and what it feels like finally finding tools that actually work. That lived experience shapes the way I show up for my clients: with genuine empathy, without judgment, and with real hope that things can get better.
I believe effective therapy is both evidence-based and deeply personal. My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with treatment centered around Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and integrated ideas from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I pride myself on being genuine, practical, and meeting you exactly where you are. Let's figure out what's getting in your way — and build the tools to move through it.
I have a specialized background as a school psychologist, which has given me the unique privilege of working directly with children, adolescents, and young adults in the place they spend most of their time — school. That experience now informs my work, where I bring a deep understanding of how anxiety shows up in real, everyday life.
When I'm not in session, you'll likely find me outside or making music — two things that keep me grounded and remind me why balance matters.
